am Dr. Abdulkadir Abdirahman Adan, the founder and leader of Aamin Ambulance, a free emergency medical response service that has played a vital role in saving and protecting the lives of people injured during explosions and civil conflict in Somalia.
This work represents true self-sacrifice. I have consistently put my own life, as well as my family’s safety, at risk in order to save others who would otherwise be left without urgent medical assistance. This has never been just a job for me—it has been my life’s mission.
I have not lived a life of personal comfort. Instead, I have dedicated all my time, energy, financial resources, and personal safety to this mission of saving human lives.
